What is a side bet in blackjack?

A side bet is an optional wager placed alongside your main blackjack hand, paying out based on your first two cards or the dealer's upcard. Perfect Pairs and 21+3 are common side bets in our card room.

What does 'double down' mean?

Double down lets you double your original bet after seeing your first two cards, in exchange for receiving exactly one more card. It's a strong move when your total is ten or eleven and the dealer shows a weak card.

What is multi-hand blackjack?

Multi-hand blackjack lets you play two or three separate hands at the same table against one dealer. Each hand has its own bet and is resolved independently, so you can win on one hand and lose on another.

What does 'push' mean in blackjack?

A push happens when your hand total equals the dealer's total, resulting in a tie. Your bet is returned to your balance with no win or loss; the hand ends with neither side paid out.

What is insurance in blackjack?

Insurance is a side bet offered when the dealer's upcard is an ace. You wager half your original bet; if the dealer has blackjack, insurance pays two to one, covering your main-hand loss if you didn't also have blackjack.
